“This was a pretty good place to start, although slightly misleading as I thought there would be good chair work outs from the ad (I have a very reconstructed ankle) and it’s just the 1st 10 minute workout and then quickly into stuff like jogging in place which can be very painful when your ankle is full of pins. Not as mobility friendly as I was hoping. I also found that my belly and chest got in the way a few times, and Kaisa doesn’t really seem to realize going in and out of a downward dog when you have a body like mine isn’t possible. My body just doesn’t fold that way because my chest gets in the way (when bring my hips down) or my belly hits my thighs (when folding down). Something to consider for us bigger ladies, since that seems to be the target audience. I do really like the team mentality and not being told to “just push through the pain” like CrossFit. I’ll keep going but it could definitely be improved for people with mobility problems or larger bodies.”

“In the pre-Covid times I was a bit of a gym rat. I had a regular schedule which was actually ramping up and then the pandemic hit. A body sculptor who I had followed online for awhile released a pretty intense home workout program which I purchased thinking I would be able to keep up my fitness goals despite the lockdown. That VERY QUICKLY fell by the wayside. Fast forward 10+ months of a sedentary lifestyle and I've lost the tone around my abs and gained a little weight in the midsection, but worse than that, I got stiff to the point that simply moving was becoming uncomfortable and I now have plantar fasciitis in my left foot, ugh. I'm not really sure how Kaisa came across my radar (probably via Oxygen Mag) but I had started following her on Facebook and when her birthday special came up and I took a peek at her programs and was instantly captivated by the super basic Start Mobility program. Here was something I could do to get my body used to moving again. I had been feeling like I needed to start from scratch and START Mobility was exactly what I needed. I bought the Mobility bundle and committed to doing a week of the START program while also incorporating the 5 minute chair exercises during my work day. I was excited to wake up to that good sore feeling again, that meant something was happening and my body was responding, the plantar fasciitis is even starting to ease up a little. HOORAY!! My first week passed and over the weekend I moved up to Mobility One and just yesterday did one of the free videos called Dynamic Dumbbell which only required one dumbbell. I was nearly in tears because I had not lifted a weight in so long and I was able to enjoy and complete that workout despite struggling a little. I think frome here I'll be fluctuating between START and Mobility One for the next couple of weeks before kicking it up to the other programs in the series. I am just so grateful for Kaisa, I love her gentle low pressure attitude toward the viewers abilities and I am so glad to have found her program to get me back into the habit of moving my body again.
